Covid-19 Information for Customers

We are looking forward to opening on Saturday 4th July at 12pm.

Update: We are in a High level area. This means you can only visit us with members of your own household when sitting inside. When sitting outside you are allowed to sit with people from other households but there must be no more than 6. Social distancing must be adhered to at all times. Face coverings must be worn by everyone aged 11 and over. They can only be removed when you are seated at a table to eat or drink.

We ask for you to wait outside the pub and someone will come to greet you. We will ask you to provide your contact details and the names of each member of your party. This will be kept for 21 days to assist with the NHS track and trace. We also have the NHS Covid-19 app QR code for you to scan. There will be a one way system in place, which will be explained upon arrival.

All orders will be table service, you will be shown to your seat by myself or by a member of our team, who will be wearing masks. Please be patient with us as we have limited number of seats inside due to the social distancing guidelines.
Before entering our premises we will ask you to use one of our hand sanitiser stations. We believe hand sanitising and frequent hand washing to be vital to anyone visiting and all of our staff.

All tables will be thoroughly cleaned after each use. Please do not leave used face masks in the premises. Please take your face masks home with you so you can dispose of them correctly.

All of our menus will be cleaned after each use. Some items may be unavailable at this time.

As we welcome children and dogs in our family environment, may we ask that they stay with you at all times, please accompany children to the toilet. Dogs must be on leads at all times, even outside.

Our car park will be closed for the time being, this is so we can space our picnic tables out in our garden and car park area at a safe distance to hopefully have as many of our customers back as possible and for the safety of our staff and customers passing through the car park to tables.

We ask everyone to please stick to the government social distancing guidelines at all times.

We realise that this is not the usual way we do business and really appreciate your kind cooperation by helping us in keeping you and our loyal team of staff safe.

Covid-19 Information for B&B Guests

Please wear a face covering when walking around in communal areas

We are pleased to say that we are taking bookings for B&B guests once again. If you have a booking from 4th July 2020 on wards we are looking forward to your stay with us. In line with the government guidelines we have been working hard to implement safety measures but please remember this is all new to us too so please be patient. All of the above safety measures, titled, "Covid-19 information for customers", also applies to our B&B guests. In addition we have extra measures for B&B guests in order to keep you and our staff safe.

B&B guests must give us an estimated time of arrival so we can make sure we can check you in as quickly as possible. Some check-in times may be
unavailable.

Our car park is currently closed to customers. Limited parking can be arranged in advance for B&B guests.

Upon arrival please wait outside and we will come to greet you. If you can not see anyone please call the pub on 01388 517234 so we can come outside to meet you.

There is one-way-system in place. This will be explained upon arrival.

Before entering our premises we will ask you to use one of our hand sanitiser stations. We believe hand sanitising and frequent hand washing to be vital to anyone visiting and all of our staff.

We have taken the decision to not enter B&B rooms to perform housekeeping duties, if guests are staying for more than one night. We ask all B&B guests to wash their hands, in accordance with the hand-washing poster (in your room), as soon as you enter your room.

If you need towels, linen, glasses, crockery, cutlery etc replaced during your stay please leave these outside your room and let us know what you need replacing. We will then leave the replacement items outside your room for you to take in.

We will perform regular cleaning of high contact areas, such as, but not limited to, external room door handles, banisters, light switches. Doors that are not fire doors will be propped open to help with air-flow and to stop constant touching.

Our already very high hygiene standards will be upped and we will focus extra cleaning time on all hand contact surfaces in rooms between guest stays. This includes but is not limited to; door handles, window handles, light switches, bedside tables, lamps, remote controls and TV buttons, taps, flush handles and toilet seats, hair dryer handles, iron and ironing board, coat hangers, wardrobe doors and kettle handle. All glasses, crockery and cutlery will be removed and washed in between guests, as we normally do.

Some items will be removed from rooms in order to help maintain high cleaning standards.

We would like to thank you for your kind cooperation by helping us in keeping you and our loyal team of staff safe.

A thank you from us

Thank you so much to our staff and customers at this time. We very much appropriate your, patience, help, understanding and cooperation to help keep everyone at the Cross Keys safe.

Kind Regards

Gaynor and Brian
